		Melbourne Art Fair Foundation is delighted to announce that two Australian artists have been selected for the Melbourne Art Fair 2008 Artist Commissions: David Griggs and Peter Hennessey. These prominent Australian artists both created large scale works which were exhibited during the 4-day event and then gifted to two major Australian institutions at the conclusion of the Fair. Peter Hennessey, My Humvee (inversion therapy) Peter Hennessey produced a 6 metre, highly detailed rendition of a M1025 HMMWV, or Hummer. Balanced on its nose this massive work loomed ominously above the audience. David Griggs, Frog boy’s dissertation into a new karaoke cult David Griggs created a full-scale circus tent crafted entirely from paintings on canvas. Inside the tent is a video documenting a performance by Griggs filmed in and around Manila.
